This month we sat down with Kayli Hughes, an Answering Services Agent who has been with our team since earlier in 2015.
What is your role with the company?
We answer calls for all kinds of companies. It is a good experience, and I learn new things every day. We take messages and help callers for all sorts of clients, including doctors’ offices, plumbing companies, management companies and more. I work under the South Region, and we also back up Florida.
I work hard to help the callers and understand where they are coming from. Sometimes this means calming them down or slowing them down. It helps, and they hang up happy. I’ve learned a lot about businesses, such as medical terms and different words from different kinds of companies.
What is it like to work with this company?
It’s a good experience at Answering Service Care. This is a spirited company that recognizes hard work and effort. They notice it, and that makes for a good experience as an employee.
Have you learned any important lessons while working here in this job?
I have learned to put myself in others’ positions. I have also learned how to handle certain “tricky” situations so that they come out positively.
What kinds of things do you like to do outside of work?
I have been working a lot, so right now I work and spend time with my family, including my brother who is a Scheduling Coordinator with Answering Service Care.
I am also planning to start college next summer (2016), where I will study criminal justice or something in the medical field. I will also stay here at Answering Service Care while I am in school.
