Ding-A-Ling Answering Service is looking for caring, dependable, and well spoken individuals to join our growing team.

Responsibilities/Skills:

  • Answering telephones primarily for service businesses, including doctors, lawyers, air-conditioning service and repair, etc
  • Answer incoming calls, and make outgoing calls to relay messages to the appropriate person based personalized business guidelines
  • Capable of making quick decisions based on client and company guidelines
  • Ability to follow telephone scripts
  • Excellent listening, typing and oral communication skills including the ability to speak clearly and with proper telephone etiquette to both clients and their callers
  • Maintain a professional, empathetic and friendly attitude
  • Self-starter and self-motivator with a strong, positive work ethic
  • Punctuality and attendance

Specific Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; college experience or degree a plus
  • Basic computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft applications as well as web-based applications
  • Telephone Answering Service/Customer Service experience a plus
  • Type 25 wpm
  • Excellent Verbal/Written Communication Skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required

Available Shifts:

  • Full-Time Shifts available 24 hours.

Requirements:

  • PC /Laptop equipped with Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 (preferred) or more recent Windows OS or a Mac running Mac OS X 9 or greater
  • USB Keyboard with a full number keypad on the side, functioning scroll lock key and all function keys working
  • Minimum 2 Ghz processor speed, 6 GB of RAM (memory) and 100 GB of available hard disk space
  • Antivirus program with an up to date virus definition file
  • Dedicated Internet connection with a minimum sustained bandwidth of 1 Meg upload speed and Router/modem that is VPN friendly through your Internet provider
  • USB headset that produces clear, static-free acoustics (Note: This can be provided at an additional cost)
  • Quiet, private, secure area to work

Training:

  • There is a requirement of one month training (in our office) prior to working from home.
